Job Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for developing a strategy for the region and generating profitable growth against that strategy. This includes identifying and assessing prospects, and managing projects towards closure of new business. Expectations include the ability to find and pitch to all stakeholders involved with the purchasing decision. The Account Manager will bring energy, enthusiasm and professionalism to guide customers towards Avient solutions. Up to 60% travel is required.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain a regional strategy for growth.
- Build and maintain a pool of opportunities for growth.
- Drive opportunities to realize sales efficiently and effectively.
- Grow / Maintain existing business.
- Develop, execute and manage regional strategy.
- Understand key players, applications, requirements, trends, and needs as well as Avient’s potential and share within the region.
- Working within a regional sales cell, develop, communicate and execute a plan to deliver the revenue and growth objectives for the region.
- Forecasting as required.
- Prospecting according to regional strategy to identify new, profitable opportunities.
- Prompt assessment and follow-up of leads.
- Identification of potential opportunities for other Avient businesses.
- Recording new opportunities within the CRM system (Sales Force) and maintaining the records accurately.
- Establishing a commitment with the customer towards the goal and managing a constructive relationship.
- Management of business with existing customers.
- Preparation of pricing, contractual terms, and contracts.
- Entering customer calls into the CRM-system.
- Develop contact matrix and establish strong relationships with key decision makers and project facilitators.
- Implement Avient’s, pricing and market strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- An extensive commercial background within sales driven environment.
- Experience of successfully delivering sales budgets.
