Data Engineer
Job Summary
We are searching for a talented Data Engineer to join our growing team! As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing data pipelines, ensuring data quality and security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to unlock the power of our data.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Utilize Airflow or similar tools to orchestrate and schedule data pipelines.
- Write efficient SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Automate data processing tasks using shell scripting.
- Work comfortably in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Apply DevOps principles to manage and deploy data infrastructure, potentially leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Utilize Git for version control and collaboration on code.
- Implement data security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations.
- Design and maintain data models for data warehousing.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and trends.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience in using Python and Pandas for data engineering
- Strong proficiency in ETL pipeline design and development.
- Expertise in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with Postgres
- Experience with Airflow or similar data pipeline orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with shell scripting for automation.
- Ability to work effectively in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with cloud platforms (a plus).
- Experience with Git for version control.
- Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
