Fiber Production Manager

COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB:

Avient Protective Materials is a highly dynamic environment where strategic directions need a speedy deployment without sacrificing quality of work and compliance issues (business risks). A flexible mindset is needed to accommodate business opportunities that can influence priorities. In order to be successful, this position requires strong interaction with all levels of the Manufacturing organization as well as Business Groups. Managing all this in a global setting is very demanding in the areas of communication, creating buy in, challenging others.

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

MS in related technical field with five years industry related experience; OR

BS/BA in related technical field with 7 years industry related experience; OR

Associate’s degree in related technical field with 8 years industry related experience.

REQUIRED LEVEL OF EXPERIENCES: 

·      Ability to lead a large organization of over hourly and salaried staff, including technicians, supervision, and technical resources.

·      Ability to effectively manage team performance and to identify developmental opportunities for team members.

·      Knowledge of general accounting principles and the ability to develop and deploy capital and expense budgets.

·      Strong self-motivation, leadership skills and ability to work effectively with others.

·      Ability to manage, direct, and motivate others in order to drive improvements within the process and organization.

·      Knowledge of environmental regulations related to Avient Protective Materials production activities.

·      Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills.

·      Ability to prepare/present oral and written presentations.
