Finance Associate - 2025 Leadership Development Program
Job Summary
The Finance Leadership Development Program accelerates professional development by placing participants on multiple Avient Finance Teams during a two-year rotational program. Individuals gets hands-on experience by going through three to four rotations in key areas of finance, audit, accounting and international finance, and actively participate in various Corporate, Business Unit and International assignments. These teams develop and support a wide range of projects that enable the critical processes of Avient businesses.
Types of activities may include internal audit, tax, treasury, mergers & acquisitions, financial planning and analysis, cost accounting and financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. During each phase of assignment, Finance Associates will establish relationships with peers and leaders, learn fundamentals and be provided feedback from the program manager. Upon completion of the program, individuals will be placed in a full time role within Avient that best suits their personal and professional goals while matching the business needs.
Essential Functions
- Work as a partner with business analysts and department analysts or directors to resolve financial related issues.
- Contribute to financial analysis, general accounting and cost accounting by practical application.
- Gain exposure to domestic and international operations and knowledge of Avient customers and go-to-market strategies.
- Contribute in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings, forecasts and the annual budget process.
- Contribute in the planning, execution and reporting of financial and operational internal audits.
- Interact with Senior Management, build relationships with other employees across the globe and make a difference in Avient’s future success.
- Other projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business field required.
- 1+ years of relevant work (internship experience applicable).
Qualifications
- Team player with strong project management and organization skills required.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and take initiative in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
