Maintenance Associate
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant and assumes responsibility for maintaining the physical assets of the property. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of general building maintenance, maintaining site services and manufacturing equipment repairs and services. In addition, mentoring and working with other maintenance associates on the team.

· Requires the ability to operate a wide variety of tools such as hand tools, power tools, drill press, band saw, welder, cutting torch, lathe, etc.
· Must have knowledge of industrial electrical, including advanced electrical (three phase 260 volt and higher) design, sizing of components and installations, etc.
· Must have proven knowledge of electrical components troubleshooting and repair.
· Must have knowledge of mechanical systems including gear boxes, motors, air compressors, pumps, AC, DC, drive troubleshooting, etc.
· Must be able to read, communicate and comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, equipment files, etc. Ability to communicate effectively in writing form through letters and email. Ability to do research in the Internet or company Intranet.
· Ability to implement, enforce and maintain guidelines set by the Company or management.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong organization skills and self-starter motivation. Prioritization skills in alignment with Plant priorities. Continuous Improvement mindset and results oriented.
· Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)
· Must have ability to reason and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
· Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, spatula, barrel cart, hand trucks, fork lift, utility knife, and mixer/blender machinery and computer equipment.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
· surveillance testing conducted annually
· required to wear a half mask respirator
· test for Lead, Candium & Chrominium(Heavy Metals)
- stand up to12hrs per shift
- use hands to finger 8 to 12hrs per shift
- handle and/or feel and reach with hands and arms up to 12hrs per shift
- required to walk up to 12hrs per shift
- required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear 8 to 12hrs per shift
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 55 lbs.

§ Employees are required to wear mandatory PPE(8 to 12hrs per shift)which include:
§ hearing protection when on production floor
§ steel toe shoes/boots when on production floor
§ uniforms
§ specific gloves when performing specific tasks
