Plant Manager (NEU)
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related technical discipline required; Master's degree in operations management, engineering or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing facility
- 4+ years manufacturing leadership experience managing 20+ employees on a single shift operation with budgetary responsibility
- Formal Lean and Six-Sigma training including successful demonstration of implementation in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- OSHA certification or training preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to establish a new culture within operations and be an effective driver of change
- Energetic people leader that can lead by example and build a high performing team.
- Excellent leadership skills. Promotes a sense of urgency and establishes and enforces individual accountability in the team.
- The ability to motivate others and demonstrate leadership qualities to all plant personnel.
- Demonstrated success of developing employees and encouraging talent
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations; prior experience in extrusion and/or molding operations strongly preferred
- Experience and savvy to properly balance when to be collaborative versus bias for action. Comfortable making quick decisions where there is ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization as well as customers and suppliers.
- Knowledge of current Safety, Health and Environmental regulations and standards.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to ensure visibility and leadership across a multi shift operation

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office noise to loud.
