R&D Engineer
- Formulation and development adhering to customer specifications, quality, and operational goals and standards
- The candidate is expected to work closely with sales and product management team to translate functional requirements into technical specifications
- Use a variety of sources and ideation techniques to develop new technology concepts that enable new product properties as well as applications
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including formulation specifications and test reports
- Provide technical guidance and support to the customers
- Benchmark competitive products to understand value vs competition
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, manufacturing, and quality assurance
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in polymer materials and manufacturing technologies
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Polymer Science/Engineering, Material Science (or related field)
- 1 - 2 years of industrial experience with formulating and processing of thermoplastics with a strong background in polymer processing, molding, polymer structure property relationships and polymer blends
- Expertise in Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE : SBS, SIS, SEBS, SEEPS, SEPS, SEPS-V) formulation, compounding and molding preferred
- Strong skills in the scientific methods and use of design of experiments for data-driven research
- Working knowledge of material characterization techniques for rheological, mechanical and, thermal properties of polymers
- Experience with product approval processes and qualifications at customers end is desirable
- Knowledge of the SAP system
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills required to develop detailed project timelines with key milestones and deliverables
- The candidate must be collaborative and work effectively across cross-functional teams to drive projects from lab-to-commercial scale
- Independent thinker and self-motivated to address technical challenges
