- Knowledge of fibers or fiber processing preferred
- Knowledge of coating technologies, resin formulation, or extrusion a bonus
- Knowledge of textiles or composites a bonus
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills with focus on enabling a team’s success
- Capable of hands on involvement in lab, pilot, and manufacturing environments
- Experience ensuring safe practices in an R&D environment
- Self-motivated and curious learner
Education and Experience
- Ph.D. in Engineering, Polymer or Material Science, Chemistry, or related technical field
- 5+ years’ experience in R&D (product, process, and/or application development)
- 4+ years of demonstrated people influence management and project team leadership (minimum)
- 2+ years of people-management experience preferred

- hearing protection when on production floor
- steel toe shoes/boots when on production floor
- specific gloves when performing specific tasks
