Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field desired
- Security related certifications such as GIAC, CEH, CySA+ or equivalent is a plus but not required
- 3 - 5 years of supporting information security and/or cyber incident response
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience should include project management responsibilities
- Strong process orientation
- Strong internal customer orientation
- Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills required
- Experience with network event analysis and/or threat analysis
- Knowledge of various security methodologies and technical security solutions
- Familiarity with analyzing data from cybersecurity monitoring tools
- Ability to analyze endpoint, network, and application logs
- Knowledge of common Internet protocols and applications
- Scripting experience in Python or PowerShell
- Knowledge of interfacing with application programming interfaces (APIs) to integrate and automate various security tools
This position requires 24/7 availability, including use of a cell phone off hours support and weekend on-call status. This position may require travel up to 10%.
