Senior Marketing Manager Healthcare Pharmaceutical
General Summary:
The Senior Market Manager Healthcare & Pharmaceutical is responsible for the profitable growth of the industry segment. She/he provides leadership in strategic and tactical marketing; market penetration, segmentation, product & platform development, promotion and strategic planning. Lead cross functional team members to develop and execute plans. Additionally the associate will engage globally to support multi regional programs. This individual is a thought leader who performs independently and has demonstrated the ability to effectively interact and influence all levels of organizations (Avient and customer) including the VP/GM level.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The purpose of the Senior Marketing Marketing Manager is to deliver:
• This role is a senior role in terms of thought leadership in driving innovation and growth by leveraging sales, technology and operations.
• Profitable growth.
• Analyze the market, develop and execute a strategic plan that maximizes our growth potential.
• Operating income expansion.
• New product development concepts and launches with appropriate training and promotional material.
• Engagement with key customers for market insight and development opportunities.
• Initiates and updates Strategic Plan in conjunction with management.
• Track and measure key market trends, competitive position, and delivery on strategy.
• Generates and monitors effectiveness of sales campaigns, advertising programs and technical literature. Ensures industry sales records are analyzed and performance is evaluated against sales targets. Monitors gross margins and profitability against control standards. Reviews industry prices, discontinues unprofitable products, and supports price increases.
• Directs or oversees the development and introduction of new products with sales, research and operations.
• Supervises or monitors the development of new product pricing, technical literature, advertising campaigns, definitions, specification, and performance standards.
• Develops, reviews and coordinates product promotion, technical presentations, and advertising through Marketing Communications.
• Directs or oversees market research and analyses to track future marketplace trends, customer needs, competitor data, and product performance and acceptability. Monitors results and formulates short and long-term
marketing strategies.
• Ensures customer and Avient sales personnel receive continuous technical support in the form of up-to-date product application technology, training, and problem solving. Develops contacts with major customers and suppliers. Conducts executive marketing/sales calls to maintain customer contact, promotes sales efforts, evaluates market trends, and develops business at target accounts.
• Must poses experience interacting with senior executives and demonstrated ability to communicate recommendations with confidence
