We are looking for a:
SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT EMEA
Avient is searching for a Senior Tax Accountant EMEA to reinforce its corporate tax team.
The Senior Tax Accountant EMEA reports to the Tax Manager EMEA and will be responsible for support on all aspects of regional income tax compliance, US GAAP tax reporting and tax audits.
This position will work closely with a wide variety of internal departments and external advisors to ensure Avient’s compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
Applicants must be within commuting distance of Pommerloch in Luxembourg, Geleen in the Netherlands or Knowsley in the UK.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Assist in quarterly and year-end tax provision accruals.
- Be a key administrator of our income tax provision software (ONESOURCE Tax Provision) partnering with and supporting our regional users.
- Maintain documentation and support for deferred tax assets and liabilities.
- Assist in quarterly and year-end audit support.
- Maintain supporting documentation for compliance with internal controls (SOX 404).
- Extract data for tax compliance, provision and modelling, using tools currently in place while adding innovation and streamlining to the processes.
- Stay informed of and communicate current developments in relevant tax matters.
- Support the Tax Manager EMEA on ad-hoc special projects such as M&A, cash repatriation, joint ventures, group financing, and reorganisations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, or a related financial discipline.
- At least two years of experience in corporate income tax compliance gained with a Big 4 public accounting firm or the tax department of a US listed multinational.
- Professional tax or accounting qualification or active pursuit of a qualification.
- Working knowledge of ONESOURCE Tax Provision software (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of HFM and SAP.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Team player with strong project management and organization skills.
- Fluency in English. Another European language is an advantage.
