Senior Technical Services Engineer (Flame Retardant)
Job Summary
Responsible for optimizing customer processes and conditions while providing education to external customers on how to run Avient materials. Tooling design and flow modeling. Troubleshoot issues that are raised by the customer. May be accountable for or participate in the resolution of customer complaints. Will also be responsible for developing and supporting new applications, product launch testing plan and procedure, data analysis, and communication of results. Eight plus years direct, relevant experience in Flame Retardant programs, with the ability to interact, present and influence cross functionally and globally both internally and externally with customers. Performs independently and effectively coaches others to achieve results in a matrix environment. Demonstrated ability to influence at the peer level as well as next level in the organization.
Essential Functions
• Provides project management for the development of new application, product launch testing plan, data analysis, and/or communication of results.
• Polymer Additives such as HALS, Flame Retardants and or CFA experience is required.
• Works with high profile global customers to enhance or improve technical specifications.
• Incorporates Avient products into customer applications and services for multiple business units.
• Leads multiple and overlapping projects to develop new applications for Avient products for customer processes.
• Aware of business and market trends to identify and provide unique solutions for global customers.
