Job Summary:

The Sourcing System Specialist has the responsibility for supporting the sourcing organization as an administrator of the Coupa platform as well as other project work associated with the global expansion of the system. The role has the primary responsibility of developing and implementing procurement processes within the sourcing group and supporting business units, assisting users with sourcing systems, and providing analysis to support ongoing sourcing needs.

Essential Functions:

·       Support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide procurement processes and systems including documentation: assist in optimizing processes and information systems based upon business needs, performance, and strategic objectives.

·       Lead cross functional projects with multiple business stakeholders to implement procurement processes and procedures; including Accounts Payable, Finance, Quality and Supply Chain

·       Provide analytical and process improvement support to corporate sourcing group up to and including data analysis, reporting, and overall implementation of new processes.

·       Work with various internal stakeholders and category managers to create and maintain catalogs and pricing for various Avient locations.

·       Partnering/problem solving with Accounts Payable and Suppliers to resolve vendor invoice issues.

·       Assist sourcing organization with managing, testing, reporting, and updating data for Coupa sourcing systems.

·       Actively perform on-going assessment of master sourcing-related data.

·       Lead and participate in lean six sigma initiatives and projects as assigned.

·       Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment, with strict compliance to all Avient safety policies and procedures.

·       Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and research data, giving attention to detail.

·       Good organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be confident and comfortable with communicating to internal and external stakeholders.

·       Self-motivated, able to work without direct supervision on daily assigned work.

·       Ad hoc project work, to be assigned by supervisor.

·       Other duties as assigned #LI-CB1

Education and Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business/Supply Chain or related field. Relevant experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree will be considered. 

·       At least 1 year of experience in Sourcing/Supply Chain Planning/Inventory Control.

·       Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and Coupa applications.

·       Must have the ability to multitask with strong time/priority management skills.

·       Must have ability to communicate effectively in person, via WebEx, Phone and via email.

·       Should possess intermediate organization, facilitation and problem solving skills

·       Should possess intermediate stress management and conflict resolution skills

·       Ability to represent Avient professionally and ethically in meetings.

·       Demonstrated process improvement and change management skills.

·       Demonstrated analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Physical Demands

·       Requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, talking and listening skills.

·       Must be able to walk and use hands

·       Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate
