Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the monthly and quarterly closing process for multiple separate company financial statements, including reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts. 
  • Improves and assists in the creation of new processes to optimize and standardize our global accounting processes. 
  • Partners with peers on the team, as well as cross functionally with those in other areas such as Analytical Finance, Treasury and Tax. 
  • Responsible for performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting requirements, including, but not limited to, journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of activities and reporting. Specific areas of responsibility include primary ownership of corporate fixed assets accounting process and capital authorization approval process, execution and continuous improvement of monthly COPA assessment process, various judgmental accruals and reserves, as well as assistance with other miscellaneous close activities. 
  • Supports other activities and processes such as SOX, external audits and internal audits. 
  • Responsible for the corporate fixed assets accounting process. 
  • Performs other special projects as needed. 
  • Accounting review of invoices from local and foreign suppliers.
  • Maintain communication with GBS regarding the posting of invoices.
  • Prepare supplier seniority reports.
  • Make weekly and monthly postings to be able to close the accounts.
  • Prepare company financial reports including EEFF.
  • Work on the DMG and print it.
  • Print the accounting books inventories, balance sheet, purchases and sales
  • Support various projects in the accounting area.

Fiscal Responsibilities

  • Balance and pay local and foreign monthly ISR withholdings.
  • Balance and pay monthly VAT withholdings.
  • Prepare monthly VAT Declaration.
  • Prepare import tax payments through Bancasat
  • Accounting for tax payments
  • Prepare VAT Refund files
  • Accounting and DTE income balance

Scope

This role faces several key customers as part of both daily responsibilities and as part of project teams, including Manufacturing, Finance, Business Unit Finance and Corporate Analytical Finance. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Postgraduate in Finance - Desirable
  • GAAP - 1 Year
  • Accounting - 3 Years
  • Finance - 3 Years
  • Sox Compliance - Desirable

Additional Qualifications

  • Advanced English level
  • Accounting expert registered in SAT
  • CPA (Completed)
  • Hyperion Financial Management (Intermediate)
  • Microsoft Word (Intermediate)
  • Microsoft Excel (Intermediate)
  • Work Independently (Intermediate)
  • SAP (Desirable)
