Python Developer
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Python developer to join the digital and innovation team. You will work closely with the data analyst & science and development team to empower our backend services. Candidate will also have opportunities to work on full stack development, cloud computing, micro-services, big data, and other modern technology topics.
Essential Functions
Essential
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
- Experience with web development, web performance optimization techniques
- In-depth understanding of web frameworks such as Flask, Django, etc
- Solid computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
- Experience with REST API
- Experience with SQL
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Front end development experience
- Basic data analyze skills
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google cloud
- Experience with message queues
- Experience with micro-service architecture
- Experience with Docker

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
- At least 5 years’ experience in full stack development framework
- Ability to gain an understanding of customer processes and issues
- Ability to work in teams and individually when needed
- Ability to demonstrate excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
Competencies
- The candidate will be required to present data and concepts to internal and external stakeholders regularly. Therefore, they must possess excellent presentation and communication skills, and be comfortable with public speaking.
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent project management and organizational skills required to develop detailed project timelines with key milestones and deliverables
- The candidate must be collaborative and work effectively across cross-functional teams to drive projects.
- The ideal candidate is an independent thinker and self-motivated to address technical challenges.
