R&D Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or a closely related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience and knowledge with polymer chemistry and composite materials.
• Understanding of ingorganic and organic chemistry.
• Chemistry lab experience is preferred.
• 0-2 years of relevent technical experience is preferred.

• Must demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
• Must have excellent research, technical writing, and analytical skills.
• Must be able to drive engagement and work across multiple functions within the organization.
• Must be able to demonstrate situational adaptability and resiliency in obtaining results.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholdrs.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Products.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally handle up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
• Requires use of safety equipment as dictated by work area.
• Work is inside and typical noise level fluctuates from moderate to loud.
• Repetitively exposed to moving mechanical parts or airborne particles.
• Occasionally exposed to vibration. May occasionally perform tasks involving toxic or caustic chemicals, and operate instruemtns that pose a risk of electrical shock.
